In 1981, five year old Alan Madden was fatally abused by his mother and her boyfriend.
While family, neighbors, school personnel and the State were aware of the abuse suffered by this little boy, no one stepped in to protect this little boy.
Alan's tragic death serves as a guidepost to measure how far the child welfare has come in identifying and protecting our at-risk youth.

The Alan Madden Foundation was founded by Victoria Sirmon-Herrin in 2015 in honor of the tragic death of young Alan Madden.
